About Us

KEY WESTCONSIN

Gary & Rita Krivos welcome you to Key Westconsin-Where the Conch Republic meets the Heartland.  It has been Gary’s lifelong dream to own his own restaurant.  After spending a career in restaurant management, foodservice sales and distribution, he took almost ten years off from the foodservice business and eventually found himself like many people in the last few years, unemployed, over-qualified and not ready to retire.  Through an amazing journey and the advice and influence of many people he came in contact with, he decided to hire himself and hopefully create a few additional jobs without waiting for the government to do so.
Key Westconsin’s theme is a relaxed environment to suggest vacations taken, maybe not as often as in the past, with offerings that remind you of that special dish or something different that you may not have had since, and is not found on the menus of the chains or cookie-cutter venues.  Its location was chosen to cater to those who value the charm of the downtown without the need to get in a car and travel a long distance to partake of unique offerings at reasonable prices that emphasize value.
It is also Key Westconsin’s goal to offer a consistent level of service not normally experienced in a casual, popular-priced, suburban restaurant.  Additionally, Key Westconsin offers gluten-free selections, children’s portions, a lunch menu, and a full bar with choices to bring the tropics to you even when the snow may be flying In Wisconsin.  Choices will change to hopefully surprise your taste buds with something new, while maintaining a core of favorite menu offerings.
Its menu is varied, offering seafood and fish selections as well as recipes from the Heartland and unique desserts.  Local vendors are utilized as much as possible and your assurance that quality is foremost in our desire to serve you again and again.  Join us as we serve some of our favorites that will sure to become yours too.
Located on the Fox River, in Historic Downtown Waukesha, at 331 Riverfront Plaza, Key Westconsin is easily accessed on foot, by car and just a block from the transportation center.  One block west of the Five Points and a block east of St. Paul Avenue off Broadway, an opportunity for a relaxing meal overlooking the Fox River is waiting.  It will bring a whole new meaning to “Staycation”
Lunch is served daily Tuesday through Saturday starting at 11:00am.  Dinner is served until  9:00pm  Tuesdays through Thursday  and until 10:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays. And Breakfast on Saturday mornings during the Farmer’s Market Season.
